Freya Smith, aka Firefly

With a background in all things equine and some seriously incredible organizational skill (don’t stand still too long or you may get a label stuck to your forehead), Freya joined Swanson Dressage in early 2017 as assistant/groom extraordinaire.

 Freya keeps all aspects of the business organized and moving forward, managing all dietary, veterinary, and farrier schedules, as well as utilizing detailed grooming care to keep the horses in top condition.   Most importantly, Freya keeps Shauntel organized and on time for all that must be accomplished each day, and somehow does it all with a never-ending smile!   We are so blessed to have Freya on the Swanson Dressage team! 

Emma McKeighen, aka Rodeo

Emma joined the Swanson Dressage team in early 2018, along with her two horses Frodo and Mateo. Emma is an incredibly accomplished young rider and can “stick with ‘em” when needed, hence the nickname Rodeo!  

As a Sr. in High School, Emma keeps close focus on her studies and future at University but is accomplished at balancing this with her passion, the sport of Dressage.  As a part time grooming care partner on the Swanson Dressage team, Emma’s quiet and gentle approach with every horse and every owner is met with high regard and appreciation.  Always bringing a smile to everyone she encounters, she is truly an incredible asset to the team and loved by all!
